Who’s gearing up for FABTECH 2016?
This year, FABTECH takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 16-18. More than 28,000 attendees and over 1,300 exhibiting companies are expected to gather and celebrate metal manufacturing at its best.
FABTECH provides educational sessions and presentations from the experts covering the latest trends and technology in the metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing industries.
What will Scotchman Industries have at booth C24047? We don't want to give everything away, but here's a sneak peak at which machines we'll have on display in Sin City this year.
If you’re attending FABTECH 2016, here are the top five must-do things we think you should try while in Las Vegas after the convention!
Who can truly experience Las Vegas without cruising through the famous Strip?
Running through a segment of Las Vegas Boulevard with Sahara Avenue to the north and Russell Road to the south, the Strip is where you’ll find the area’s most iconic landmarks, like the Eiffel Tower at Paris, Las Vegas and The Luxor sphinx and pyramid.
The Stratosphere, otherwise known as the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States, is at the north end of the Strip, giving you the perfect place to capture a photo of Vegas!
Experience the Italian way of life at The Venetian Casino area!
Located right along the Strip, The Venetian recreates the highlights of Venice. This area offers access to gourmet Italian cuisine and culture.
You’ll also discover a small branch of the Guggenheim Museum, as well as a Madame Tussauds wax museum, a Canyon Ranch Spa and several shows ranging from comedy to theater. Plus, if you’re feeling lucky, The Venetian’s casino is one of the best on the Strip offering a wide variety of games, including poker, slots, and blackjack.
The Hoover Dam is a historic engineering wonder dating back to 1937.
This national landmark confines Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the United States by volume. Spanning the Colorado River and Black Canyon, the Hoover Dam is located 30 miles southeast of the city.
Guided tours are offered by the visitors center. A 30-minute guided tour take you through the eight turbines on the Nevada side at $15 for adults and $12 for seniors.
The Bellagio Casino has high-stakes tables and hosts the World Poker Tour, among other tournaments each year.
You will likely recognize the Bellagio’s massive fountains from movies taking place in the city. Roughly every 15 to 30 minutes, those who walk past the Bellagio can witness a complimentary light and water show with fountains shooting water in the air synchronized to music.
Besides the fountains, this area is brimming with fine art and botanical gardens, plus several restaurants, spas, casinos, and nightlife venues.
If fountains don’t excite you, maybe a massive volcano will!
Every evening from 6 and 11 p.m., the ground rumbles and the man-made mountain shoots fireballs in the air to the sounds of The Grateful Dead.
The Mirage also has a variety of shops, restaurants, nightlife venues, and shows. The casino earns praise from travelers for its spacious, clean atmosphere and variety of gambling options.
