      Know Your Ironworker

      An ironworker is probably the most versatile tool in any fabrication or weld shop, because it is more than just one machine, often referred to as the “Swiss Army Knife” of the fabrication industry. It has a relatively small footprint, but in that compact space a range of jobs can be accomplished allowing fabricators to be prepared for most any project that comes in the door.

      With stations for punching, notching, shearing and more, this versatile piece of equipment should be indispensable in your metal fabrication operation.       Punch Station

      This is one of the most functional tools built into any ironworker. A full range of punches & dies are available in-stock, plus tooling can be custom-built for special applications. This workstation goes beyond strictly punching; it can also be used for additional applications.

      Flat Bar Shear

      A bar shear is a standard workstation on all ironworkers, but not all bar shears are created equal. All Scotchman ironworkers have a shear with a variable rake angle which minimizes distortion of the cut & increases cut time for a faster shear cycle. From 6” to 24” in width, each Scotchman ironworker is equipped with the best shear for its capacity. Hold-downs are easily adjustable with good visibility, and the reversible shear blades provide a long life of plate shearing.

      Angle Shear

      Standard on every Scotchman ironworker, this useful tool produces a distortion free cut and can 45° miter cut with ease.

      Notcher

      Ideal for notching and nibbling plate & angle iron. When versatility is key, a coper notcher is essential! Standard workstation on most Scotchman ironworker models, but available as an option on those models it's not.

      Tool Table Workstation for Component Tools

      When versatility and flexibility are key, our unique tool table workstation is indispensable! This tool table design is distinctly Scotchman and creates a workstation that's fully customizable allowing an extensive variety of tooling options to be used & switched out easily, without losing the punch station. This workstation acts as an additional power source which allows users to tailor the machine to their individual needs.

      Dual Operator System

      Our Dual Operator models allow for two operators to work simultaneously without loss of power! The front foot pedal controls the punch & tool table workstations; the rear foot pedal actuates the notcher & flat bar shear. Scotchman Ironworkers are available in single or dual operator models.
